Bring PowerPoint slides into Shows and mirror them

Coordinate a deck, private notes, and the audience screen.

Before you begin

A prepared presentation, Shows Media Library, and an audience display connection.

How it works

Document preview supports PDF, PowerPoint, and Keynote. A Deck cue is a multi-page PDF: GO moves through pages and then continues to the next cue; Back returns to the preceding page.

Media

Export PowerPoint or Keynote to PDF with one build per page when you want cue-by-cue playback. Import the PDF into Shows → Media Library and review its page order.

All steps, in writing
  1. Media

Export PowerPoint or Keynote to PDF with one build per page when you want cue-by-cue playback. Import the PDF into Shows → Media Library and review its page order.

Expected: Each presentation build is represented by an intentional PDF page.

  2. Cue type

Create a Deck cue and select the imported PDF. A general document preview can open presentation files, but the Deck cue expects the PDF workflow.

Expected: The cue points to the correct multi-page deck.

  3. Presenter notes

Add the private note or teleprompter content needed for the cue. Rehearse the glasses regions for cue, clock, slides, notes, and captions.

Expected: The performer sees useful private context without sending it to the audience.

  4. Connect audience display

Open Shows → Mirror and pair the audience viewer using its pairing code. Confirm the audience output and projector/display route during pre-show.

Expected: The audience screen shows the intended program output.

  5. GO

Press GO to advance a deck page and Back to return. On the last page, the next GO continues to the next cue. Check fit, fill, or stretch behavior for the media.

Expected: The slide order and framing match your rehearsal.

  6. Panic

Rehearse stopping output and recovery before the show. Recheck the active cue, audio route, and mirror after an interruption.

Expected: You know how to restore a deliberate state for both wearer and audience.

If something differs

  • For dependable page control, use a PDF Deck cue rather than relying on document-preview paging.
  • Private glasses output and audience output are separate views; inspect both.
  • Fit preserves the whole image; Fill crops, and Stretch can distort aspect ratio.
