Record, search, and return to context

Spend less effort reconstructing who said what and what you promised.

Before you begin

An allowed recording situation, microphone permission, and chosen storage/processing settings.

How it works

A retained session can supply transcript context, speakers, and derived tasks or facts. Search depends on the records you kept and processed.

All steps, in writing
  1. Review capture

Open Record and inspect input and retention preferences before starting a sample.

Expected: The selected microphone and storage choice are understood.

  2. Make a short sample

Record a fictional commitment and stop.

Expected: A session appears with the expected content.

  3. Inspect the session

Open Recordings and compare speaker labels and transcript text with the sample.

Expected: The source is accurate enough to rely on.

  4. Search with context

Use Ask & Search with a person/topic, time range, or mood supported by the search tool.

Expected: The matching retained passage supports the answer.

If something differs

  • If a speaker is wrong, correct attribution before using that person’s context.
  • Mood is an inferred search aid, not a diagnosis or proof of someone’s feelings.
